LaserDirect builds software simulations for military flight simulators, ground vehicles and uncrewed aircraft, using Unreal Engine 5.8.
We build the software that runs inside training simulators, from a single part-task trainer to the visual system for a full cockpit.
Fixed-wing and rotary-wing simulation for cockpit trainers, with flight models, avionics displays and out-the-window visuals.
Driver and crew trainers for armoured and logistics vehicles, with terrain-accurate handling across road, cross-country and urban ground.
Operator and payload training for uncrewed aircraft, from small quadcopters to long-endurance platforms.
Geo-specific terrain, weather, time of day and sensor views built in Unreal Engine for realistic mission rehearsal.
Connecting simulations to cockpit hardware, motion platforms, instructor stations and other simulators on the network.
Bespoke Unreal Engine 5.8 development, tools and pipelines, and support for simulation teams who need extra specialist capacity.
We work through the training need, platform data and hardware with your team.
An early playable build in Unreal Engine lets instructors and users give feedback quickly.
We develop the full simulation and integrate it with cockpits, controls and networked systems.
We test against acceptance criteria, deliver documentation and support the system in service.
LaserDirect was founded on 11 January 2022 to meet the needs of the defence sector. We develop software simulations for military flight simulators, vehicles and drones using Unreal Engine 5.8, writing software in C++, C#, Python and Java.
We work with defence primes, training providers and armed forces customers, either delivering complete simulation software or working inside an existing programme team.
Send a short description of the platform and what you need trainees to practise. We will reply with questions or a proposal.
